When it comes to fast food, its hard to beat McDonald’s.
From their classic offerings of chicken nuggets to beef burgers, the fast food chain is a popular choice for many.
Their Fillet of Fish is an underrated winner – while vegetarians can chow down on their Veggie Dippers, although they’re currently off the menu.
Now TikTok has become an amazing source of behind-the-scenes videos giving us a glimpse into the kitchens of well known restaurants, pub chains and fast food joints.
Recently a Wetherspoons chef who went viral for his cooking videos was fired after breaching company policy over the popular videos.
Now a McDonald’s employee has gone viral for her videos giving us an insight into their work.
TikTok star mcdonaldsworker98 has racked up 144,000 followers and 1.3m likes thanks to her videos.
One video – which has been viewed a whopping 1.3m times – shows what they eat on their break and it looks tasty.
The staff are lucky enough to be able to mix all the fast food giant’s ingredients, meaning they can come up with some delicious dishes.
The clip starts with them toasting two bread buns which they slather in mayonnaise before adding some crispy slices of bacon.
They then add a handful of fries before adding a spicy chicken fillet.
Lots of people loved the video – with many asking it to be added to the menu officially.
One person commented: “I work at McDonald’s and I need to try this.”
Another joked: “McDonald’s have literally never ever put that much bacon on my burgers ever.”
A third wrote: “Put it on the menu,” and another added: “This is the only McDonald’s sandwich I would ever eat.”
Another McDonald’s employee went viral after revealing how they cook eggs for their McMuffin’s.
A user named @austin.martinn corrected the misconception that the eggs were frozen or powdered.
Instead, he showed how they are cracked into round rings, before a worker taps each yolk.
Then the grill lid is pulled down before water is added to the top.
One person commented: “That’s actually impressive, I just assumed it came in frozen packets?”
Meanwhile, a man with Down Syndrome who won thousands of admirers after working in McDonald’s for 32 years has revealed how he is spending his retirement.
Russell O’Grady joined the fast food chain in 1986 and stayed at the same branch in Northmead, western Sydney.
His dad Geoff said his job had completely changed his son’s outlook on life.
He said: “Somebody said to him ‘are you handicapped?’ and his answer was ‘I used to be when I went to school, but now I work at McDonald’s’.”
